Seminar “Monitoring of wildlife and sustainable hunting” 07-10-2011
On 14 June 2011 in Lipowa Most (near Supraśl) a seminar on “Monitoring of wildlife and sustainable hunting” took place. The seminar, organized by the Mammal Research Institute PAS in Białowieża and the Regional Directorate of State Forestry (SF) in Białystok, was attended by approximately 100 people. Seminar "Conservation of biodiversity in sustainable forestry" 28-02-2011
The third seminar held under the Podlasie Regional Forum for Environmental Knowledge Transfer PREFEKT referred to "Conservation of biodiversity in sustainable forestry." It was organized in the partnership of three entities: Mammal Research Institute PAS in Bialowieża, Regional Directorate of State Forests in Białystok and the Branch Faculty of Environmental Management in Hajnówka. On 11 - 15 October the Mammal Research Institute Polish Academy of Sciences organised a scientific workshop, entitled: “Understanding the role of mammalian herbivores in shaping woody plant communities; what can we learn from a cross – continental comparison?”.
